01System
Delivered systems.
From the CEMAC Representation that uses GEDA.
“The implementation of the GEDA system marks a decisive turning point for our Representation. We finally have a sovereign, secure tool perfectly adapted to the requirements of our diplomacy. Beyond simple document management, GEDA guarantees the continuity of our institutional memory against the test of time and staff turnover.”
“For a long time, the scattering of our archives posed a major risk to the institution. Charles was able to understand our constraints and design a tailor-made solution. GEDA now allows us to find information in seconds, with complete traceability. It is an essential investment that I recommend to any institution concerned about its security.”
02Consulting
Consulting work.
From a foundation partner on a digital inclusion and alternative credit workstream.
“I worked with Charles on a digital inclusion and alternative credit workstream for our West and Central Africa portfolio. What distinguished his contribution was that he did not arrive with a generic ‘emerging markets’ template. He arrived with a jurisdiction-specific diagnosis—particularly on the CEMAC region, where mobile money operators sit outside the formal credit data furnishing framework.
Charles’s ability to translate that regulatory gap into an operational credit intelligence model was the core value he brought. He understood that digital inclusion is not just about account ownership; it is about whether the data generated by digital transactions can be legitimately and responsibly used to construct a credit identity for people who have none. That is the problem AfriScore is built to solve, and he brought that frontline builder’s perspective into the programme design conversation.
He was also unusually clear-eyed about explainability. In a room of inclusion specialists and risk officers, he consistently argued that an alternative credit model that cannot explain why a borrower was scored the way they were is not inclusion—it is a new form of exclusion with better branding. That insistence shaped how we thought about model governance in the workstream.
For a foundation focused on enabling work, Charles is the kind of consultant who leaves behind a framework your partners can actually use, not just a report that sits on a shelf.”
03Client work
Client work.
From organisations I have built websites and platforms for. Clients are described by role.
“Charles redesigned our regional website to be faster, more accessible, and mobile-responsive. He was proactive in suggesting features that would better serve our diverse audience across the continent. The site is now a much more effective tool for sharing our work and engaging with stakeholders.”
“We needed an internal communication tool that integrated with our existing project management stack. Charles built a custom solution that perfectly matched our workflow. He is a clear communicator and delivered the project on time and within budget. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.”
“Charles developed a citizen feedback and grievance redressal platform for our local government partners. He focused heavily on accessibility and data visualization, making it easy for officials to see and act on community concerns. The platform has become a key tool for improving accountability.”
“We reached out to Charles to integrate a complex multi-currency payment gateway. He navigated the technical and compliance requirements with ease. The integration was seamless, and we've had zero downtime since going live. His communication was excellent throughout the project.”
